Career Day at Ramona STEM Academy was an inspiring event organized by our dedicated Counselor, Mrs. Ibarra. Students had the unique opportunity to learn about a wide variety of professions from an impressive lineup of professionals, including Helicopter Pilots, El Paso Fire Fighters, and representatives from El OSO Food Truck and El Paso Children's Hospital. They were also introduced to U.S. Customs officers along with their canine partners, "SAMI" and "Valter." Notably, Alvidres Architecture Designer and Grammy-nominated producer Roger Argenis shared insights into the creative industries. Engineering Instructor Ms. Cuvelier from EPCC, Marathon Engineers, Baker Ms. Valenzuela, and Freeport Environmental Engineers provided a glimpse into the engineering field. Students also learned about the roles of Mr. Robert Wiest, lieutenant Special Investigations Unit from TABC, a Phlebotomist, and professionals from UTEP School of Pharmacy, as well as representatives from ASHRAE. The day was filled with excitement and gratitude as students engaged with these professionals, enriching their understanding of the diverse career paths available to them.
