During Red Ribbon Week, Officers Bermudez and Lara engaged K-5 students with a powerful presentation about the life of Kiki Camarena, an FBI agent who fought against drug trafficking. They highlighted the harmful effects of drugs, discussing various substances, including cigarettes, e-cigarettes, and pills. The officers emphasized how these drugs can negatively impact health, relationships, and futures. To encourage understanding and participation, students took part in a question-and-answer session, where they could express their thoughts and inquiries about drug prevention and safety. This interactive approach helped students grasp the seriousness of drug use while fostering a supportive environment for open communication.
