At Ramona STEM Academy, students engaged in a valuable learning experience about the voting process and democracy. Each student received a voter registration card to fill out, simulating the real-life steps involved in becoming an active participant in elections. They had the opportunity to research candidates running for office, which included gathering information on their policies and backgrounds. This research encouraged students to discuss their findings with family, friends, and teachers, fostering a collaborative learning environment. Ultimately, the students walked into the library to cast their private votes, experiencing firsthand the importance of civic engagement and the power of their voices in a democratic society.
